COMAT 2026

The 11th International Conference on

Advanced Composite Materials Engineering

TRANSILVANIA UNIVERSITY OF BRASOV, ROMANIA

It is a great pleasure for us to invite you to the

11th International Conference on Advanced Composite Materials Engineering

The 11th International Conference on Advanced Composite Materials Engineering (COMAT 2026) will be organized by the Mechanical Engineering Faculty of Transilvania University of Brașov and will take place on 22–23 October 2026, in Brașov, Romania.

Following the success of its previous editions, COMAT 2026 provides a premier international platform for researchers, engineers, and industry professionals to share the latest advances in advanced composite materials, from fundamental science to industrial applications. The conference emphasizes innovation, sustainability, and cutting-edge technologies, highlighting how composites are transforming modern engineering across multiple sectors.

The conference will cover a wide spectrum of topics, including polymer, metal, and ceramic matrix composites, nano- and smart composites, and bio-inspired or natural composites. Key research areas include mechanical behavior, damage, fracture, fatigue, durability, and interface phenomena, as well as advanced fabrication and processing methods, including additive manufacturing (3D printing), full-scale testing, non-destructive evaluation, and AI-assisted modeling and simulation.

COMAT 2026 also highlights the broad range of applications of composites, including automotive, aerospace, transportation, civil and structural engineering, power engines, biomechanics, and renewable energy technologies. Additionally, the conference will focus on sustainability, life-cycle engineering, and eco-friendly composite solutions, reflecting the growing importance of environmental and societal impact in materials engineering.

By integrating these topics, COMAT 2026 offers a comprehensive overview of the state-of-the-art in composite materials, fostering collaboration between academia and industry. The conference provides a unique opportunity for knowledge exchange, networking, and collaboration, inspiring innovative solutions to modern engineering challenges.

We warmly invite you to join COMAT 2026 in Brașov, a historic city nestled in the scenic Carpathian Mountains, for an engaging, interactive, and stimulating conference experience.

Associated Scientific Event
